Introduction to Construction Surveying

Led by industry professional Zach Fry, Survey Manager at J.E. Construction Services, the course bridges the gap between typically traditional surveying knowledge and the construction industry applications using the Everhart Road reconstruction project in Corpus Christi, Texas. Participants will explore the unique safety challenges and quality control responsibilities that distinguish construction surveying from other disciplines, learn to navigate and interpret extensive construction plan sets, understand horizontal and vertical control verification processes, and observe modern staking procedures and machine control technologies in active field conditions.
